China’s dragonfly incenses burners are up for sale on the auction block.
The rare incense burners were produced between the late 1960s and the late 1980s in Vietnam.
They are used to ward off evil spirits and are widely regarded as a traditional Chinese medicine.
The sale is being handled by a local Vietnam-based company, known as Dragonfly.
The company’s website says it has a long history of producing incense and its burners have sold to local authorities.
The first incense burns were made in Vietnam, where they were sold as an essential to prevent sicknesses.
The company is trying to sell the incense by auction, but in Vietnam they are not a commodity.
It is hoped that if enough people buy the incenses, they will help pay for the refurbishment of the church that houses the relics of the dragonfly.
