On January 1, the company announced that Amazon’s new smoke would be able to treat a number of common ailments, including cancer.
In addition to treating burns, the smoke would also act as a cancer drug.
According to a press release, the new Amazon smoke would “enable Amazon to accelerate the pace of product development, accelerate product development innovation and deliver breakthrough technologies to customers faster.”
The smoke, which will be manufactured by Amazon’s parent company Amazon, will be sold through Amazon Prime.
Amazon is not the only company making the announcement.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the head of the US FDA, Dr. Timothy L. O’Connor, stated that Amazon was looking to launch a smoke that is “inherently safe for the user.”
O’Connor noted that the FDA’s Office of Applied Research, which includes a research division, was looking into the technology as well.
The FDA has previously warned that inhaling smoke can cause respiratory irritation, and that smoke can trigger lung cancer.
Smoke is also known to cause allergies.
In November, a spokesperson for the company said that Amazon had not yet started developing its smoke.
Overnight, the Washington Post reported that Amazon announced the new smoke in the wake of the announcement of the FDA announcement that Amazon Prime would no longer allow smoke-related products on the platform.
